Pedro Ruiz-Ocejo is the Executive Sous Chef at Black Iron Burger where he is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of ordering supplies, recipe and meal creation, staffing and cooking along under the Executive Chef’s guidelines. Pedro is a qualified Chef and holds a 3 year Chef Degree from the Hotel and Restaurant Culinary School Taberna del Alabardero in Seville, Spain.

Pedro is no stranger to the restaurant business, having spent 3 years as owner and Executive Chef at his own catering company in Seville, Spain, along with a wide experience working as Chef in a variety of restaurants in Southern Spain. He arrived in New York in the Spring of 2013 and worked for over a year and half in a high end catering company, Aqualina Catering, before joining Black Iron Burger an Executive Sous Chef and partner in August 2014. Pedro has more than 16 years of working experience in restaurants and catering.
